Greetings! I'm new to this list and have a question I hope someone can help me with. What I have read about sundial history gives passing mention to the fact that pre-columbian civilizations used gnomons, but nothing specific. I have read about the extensive Maya & Aztec calendars to track the days and years, but was wondering if anyone had heard whether or how pre-columbian people divided their days. If so, can anyone recommend reading material about pre-columbian sundials?
