The local high school has a machine shop that is open to the public during the evenings while school is in session. I will be looking into building a sundial when school opens.
The one problem we do have here that no sundial can ever compensate for is the overcast conditions. Even though the sun is above the horizon for 85 days we have very few clear days. None the less a sundial will be a fun project. Thanks for your response.
