Subject: Sundials in China and news of S o t I
My wife and I are leaving on 7 September for a package tour of China
which includes Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Suzhou, Guilin, Canton and Hong Kong
The only sundial I know of in China is one in the Termple of Supreme Harmony
in the Forbidden City in Beijing. If anyone knows of any others, I would
be most grateful to hear from them.

PS We have recently got the 10,000th hit on the home page of Sundials on the
Internet at www.sundials.co.uk Thanks to all those who have helped to make
this possible. We still need a lot more help, particularly on
- translations of pages such as types.htm, intro.htm, eot.htm,
setup.htm,
natsocs.htm, pix.htm into French, German, Spanish and other
languages
- lists of sundials to visit (similar to #paris.htm. ~oxon.htm,
~seatlle.htm)
It makes a very good project for those increasingly sunless evenings!
