Sundial Mailing List, I'm thinking about machining a sundial out of brass or bronze. I'd welcome ideas about what type to use. There are many variations of brass and bronze, some will weather better, some are more machinable, some are more expensive. I'm sure many of you have more experience with this than I do. I do a lot of manufacturing - but all my experience is with steel and aluminum for gearboxes and other stuff unrelated to sundials!
