Hello fellows in sundialling I've already ordered some books, including "Astronomy With Your Personal Computer" (Peter J. Duffett-Smith), "Practical Astronomy With Your Calculator", ( Peter J. Duffett-Smith) "Astronomical Formulae for Calculators" (Jean H. Meeus)
so I expect to be able to ask question of higher significance in the future. Meanwhile, please bear with my novice questions. Is there a formula to calculate the sun declination based on the date and perhaps the local time? The idea here, of course, is getting rid of any tables.
