Greetings All,

I fell the sun looks larger at sunrise and sunset, but I have another
'candidate' for this phenomenon.

Here on Guam, we are 13 degrees north of the equator and we can see the
Southern Cross in spring and summer.  However, it is always fairly close
to our southern horizon. 

Many people from Guam who have visited Australia or New Zealand have
complained to me that the Southern Cross looks *much* smaller there.  I
suspect this, too, is caused by the 'things look larger closer to the
horizon' phenomenon.
