Tony Moss has a wall chart produced by the Admiralty giving time zones
around the world. It is too large to reproduce. I would consider
purchasing one, but it is incomplete, since it doesn't have the names of
all the zones. Tony has pencilled in the names of some that he has
found that are not on the chart and suggests a useful project of this
list might be to fill in a master list, showing blanks for the missing
zones. List members can send me names they know and I'll fill in the
blanks. If I were back in my office I would enter the names of all that
I know now, to start the process. I decided to start anyway by posting
a table of time zones, standard meridians, and names I know in my head.
Anyone wishing to can send me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] the names of
zones they know and I'll keep a master list. When I return home later
this week I'll start filling in the blanks with the ones I know and the
ones you send me. After a while for responses, I'll post the revised
list from time to time. If any one of you thinks this is a rotten idea
or not a good way to go about it, just let me know and I'll stop. Don't
waste time posting to the list if you like the idea.

You don't need to send me the table, just the standard meridian, the
zone number east or west of greenwich, and the name. Thanks.
