This is just to remind you that the interesting MALLORCA GNOMONIC MEETING will be held in Palma de Mallorca, Mallorca Island, Spain, from the 23rd to the 25th of April 1999, as it was announced some time ago in our EVENTS web page: http://www.troc.es/scg/events/index.cfm The Sundial Associations involved in the organization of the event are: Societat Catalana de Gnomònica Asociación Amigos de los Relojes de Sol Arbeitskreis Sonnenuhren (D.G.CH) The meeting will begin the Friday, 23th April, in the "Isla de Mallorca" Hotel. At 16:30 h. all participants can Register. The organisers will welcome everyone attending the meeting and there will also be some speeches from Local Authorities. Following, a commented projection on Mallorca's typical sundials will take place. There will also be a most interesting exhibition of portable sundials, books and other material brought by the attendants. The activities will continue throughout the entire weekend (24th-25th April), with excursions by bus all over the island, visiting most relevant sundials, from a historical point of view, and other types of modern sundials. The explanations will be done in Spanish and German. Registration fees: 22.000.- pesetas per person in a double room 24.600.- pesetas in a double room single use 13.460.- pesetas if accomodation in "Isla de Mallorca" Hotel is not needed.
