Hello diallists Back from holidays I have just finished to read the 76 messages of the sundial list of the last two weeks. Many thanks to François Pineau for pointing out my web site about sundials in Brittany. For the time being it is in progress. That's why I keep it "secret". I plan shortly to add many pictures of sundials, and others pages.
I have a sundial trail (in english or french) for the Finistére department with extras in neighbour departments. I can send it to any interested people. It is a Word 7.0 document. I have never heard of any shop selling ceramic dials in Vannes or Lorient. There has been near Guingamp (department of Cotes-d'Armor) a diallist designing lovely ceramic dials (with an Internet site; I have lost the URL) but as far as I know, he desappeared. Anyway you will record quickly that the main material for sundials in Brittany was and is still slate. Ceramic is not really traditionnal here. But why not ? Best regards
