Photocopier scale distortion is a definite problem. In the production work
on our sundial we have gone to one of the laser printer models used in the
prepress arena by Xante Corporation (www.xante.com). Software utilities
within the printer driver provide a means of calibration over a user
defined region of the page to optimize the scale accuracy along both axes.
So far, this has be successful in meeting our tolerances in dial face
production.
