I believe the title you are looking for is "Fundamentals of
Astrodynamics" by Roger R. Bate, Jerry E. White, Donald Mueller (URL
below). The book was originally written for the US Air Force Academy and
has some very interesting topics although it is probably more advanced
than is necessary for solar position related algorithms. For these (and
others) I too would recommend "Astronomical Algorithms" by Jean Meeus.
