Thanks for this Web site!  I'm happy to see that several people indeed
succeeded in photographing the crescent Sun as it projected onto Italy's
famous meridian markers.  However, I believe you left out a few letters
in the URL above; the following worked for me:

By the way, Franco, you might want to mark the date 8 June 2004 on your
calendar.  That's when these very same pinhole-type meridian markers
will catch the last moments of a much rarer spectacle -- Venus's transit
across the solar disk!
