Much has been written about the confusion of EOT corrections, longitude corrections, and about people viewing a sundial and asking "But what time is it really?" I am still in favor of the solution of building Equatorial sundials with an Analemmic gnomon, so that the sundial always correctly indicates accurate clock time, without need for graphs, tables or poems.
