Fellow Shadow Watchers,
Dava Sobel's book 'Longitude' has currently
entered the discussion. For anyone interested in this subject 'John
Harrison - The man who found longitude' by Humphrey Quill, published by
John Baker in the 60s is a must. Quill was Warden of the Worshipful
Company of Clockmakers and his account gives a wealth of detail supported
by excellent illustrations. Long out of print it will repay any library
search to find a copy.Tony Moss
