Greetings!
A reply to the notice that I had forwarded to my brother-in-law, whom I am trying to recruit for NASS.
I think it fun; perhaps you will, too.

Suggestions from a sick mind further warped by cold, clammy, rainy cloud-covered Northern California. Add "inversely proportional to annual days of cloud-cover.  Some exponents, radicals, and coefficients might be nice as well.  And how about making the whole thing a function of date and longitude.  Surely a dialist in Alaska is more content in June than in January.   Patagonians would, of course, find their satisfaction reversed.  Should the sum of North and South Latitudinal contentment be a constant?  Many things to consider here.

Then there's "diallogue" which is not! a misspelling but rather a conversation specifically about dials.

And Dialectrician:  one who modifies sundials with a motorized electric light which moves so that time can be told between sunset and sunrise.  This might, of course, boarder on heresy, but as a dialite (one not well versed in dials), I hope I will be forgiven.  I promise to go for dial-ysis to work on this mental aberration if you think it would help.
