Hello again:

I should have anticipated that you would need more details as to what your
duties would be as a member of the FAQ answer committee.. The details have
yet to be worked out, but your primary responsibility would be to supply
answers to some of the questions that I have assembled.

Each person would choose to answer, in writing, and at his convenience, any
question(s) that he desires from the FAQ list. Of course, the committee
members should only pick those questions that they feel comfortable with and
for which they know the correct answer. You can answer as many or as few
questions as you wish. As I see it, this work in progress may take years to
complete, so there will be no pressure on anyone to come up with answers
quickly. An attempt will be made to begin answering the most frequently
asked questions first.

It will be the job of the chairman to see that only one person answers each
question, thereby avoiding needless work and duplication. He will edit the
answers for clarity and grammar, and will coordinate the publication of the
answers, as they are ready, with the webmaster. In this way, the website
will grow with time. The chairman and the webmaster have not yet been
selected by NASS, but I'm assuming that the information that I'm giving you
now will hold true regardless of who this may be.

*Please do not send me your list of answers that you'd be willing to answer
or any answers until you are given instructions by the chairman. All that I
need right now is to hear from you if you are willing to serve on the FAQ
Answer Committee. I think that this could be a fun project if we approach
it with the right frame of mind.

The current list of questions can be seen on Dave Bell's Sundial Image
Archive website at: <http://dialist.webjump.com>.

I hope this answers your doubts and questions, if not just let me know.
