Not related to Latin, coins, or sundials, but begging your indulgence.
On the Net for over 4 years now, I haven't been taken in by any of
the silly virus spoofs. I hope I won't have egg on my face after this
one, but it emanates from very reputable sources: the CERT and Apple
Computer, as reported in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, whose page
this is:

You'll notice that the download linked there is free (and very fast),
and that it's on Apple's site.
For once! DOS-machines out there need not worry. The gist of this is
that those of us who run Macs may be used without our knowledge by
hackers to crash large networks; the patch prevents it. I've
downloaded and installed mine: you should too.
