Does anyone know what time systems were used by early cultures who lived at
high latitudes? The Italian and Babylonian systems are usually referred to
as being the earliest methods used, and that may be true but they have
obvious serious problems in these locations. I can't imagine anyone living
at high latitudes even considering such a system. Perhaps one of our
anthropology oriented members can tell us when civilizations living far N
and S were established, ones that needed comprehensive time keeping systems.
