3-20-00

Based on "A Low precision ephemeris for the Sun" on pages 484-5 of the
"Explanatory Supplement to the Astronautical Almanac", 1992, I calculated the
following for the Y2K equinoxes:

Spring Equinox 3/20/2000 at 7:27:16 UT

Fall Equinox 9/22/2000 at 17:11:09 UT

The precision of the angles is stated to be better than 1'.0.

>From the Y2K "Astronomical Almanac", p A1, the dates and times are:

Spring Equinox 3/20/2000 at 7:35 UT

Fall Equinox 9/22/2000 at 17:27 UT

My next step is to use the low precision ephemeris on page C24 of the
Almanac, the precision of which is stated to be 0'.1.
