3-20-00 Based on "A Low precision ephemeris for the Sun" on pages 484-5 of the "Explanatory Supplement to the Astronautical Almanac", 1992, I calculated the following for the Y2K equinoxes:
Spring Equinox 3/20/2000 at 7:27:16 UT Fall Equinox 9/22/2000 at 17:11:09 UT The precision of the angles is stated to be better than 1'.0. >From the Y2K "Astronomical Almanac", p A1, the dates and times are: Spring Equinox 3/20/2000 at 7:35 UT Fall Equinox 9/22/2000 at 17:27 UT My next step is to use the low precision ephemeris on page C24 of the Almanac, the precision of which is stated to be 0'.1.
