Hello dialmakers:

Yesterday I recieved in the mail my DeltaCad program for Windows with
printed instruction manual. On the cover it says: "World's easiest CAD
program". That it is! The manual is very well written and easy to
understand with step-by-step intructions of how to use its many wonderful
features.

Several weeks ago, Steve Lelievre wrote a program to generate a Singleton
dial and kindly sent to me a .rlt file of a drawing he did for Tucson which
I placed in Zonwvlak. I converted the .rlt file to .dxf and imported it into
DeltaCad and went to print and entered the proper print settings.

I was amazed that the drawing printed out beautifully the very first time!!!
And it had nice smooth curves with none of those obnoxious step lines. I'm
very impressed.

But it did not print in color (I don't know why).

Now, I have to figure out how to add text to the drawing and how to get a
copy of my drawing onto large size drafting velum or mylar. I have a
feeling that it would be possible to take a floppy disk copy to the local
printing service who do the bluelines for architects, and they could use it
to make an extra large velum or mylar blueline drawing with their big
printers (42" width). Does anybody know how to do this?

Thanks to everyone for their encouragement to use DeltaCad. It will
certainly change the way I design and draw my sundials, especially if I can
master some of its many features.
