Fellow Shadow Watchers,
In a recent message I mentioned that almost
unlimited distortion of any image was possible with Adobe illustrator
with the 'Draw Tools' add ons. These came 'bundled' with the De-luxe CD
Version of Illustrator 6.0 which I purchased while in Atlanta four years
ago but were not included on the U.K. Version 8.0 upgrade purchased
recently. By itself, Illustrator will handle almost any rectilinear
distortion but the Free Distort required for curvilinear distortions,
such as my extreme example of an EofT on a waving flag etc., requires
Draw Tools. The Read-Me information on my version 6.0 CD indicates that:

I contacted the above re. the availability of 'Draw Tools' and received
the following message.

discontinued and is no longer supported as the majority of the features in
the product were incorporated into new releases of Adobe Illustrator.

Well I have the latest versions of Illustrator and can't find anything
that resembles the distortion tools. Fortunately the copy I have of the
now-discontinued 'Draw Tools continue to work perfectly with the latest
Mac versions of Illustrator...
