Hello Frank, In your consideration of vertical dials, you might find it worth pairing the south dial with its north twin. Particularly at your fairly high local latitudes, that allows showing the summer sunrise and sunset times, when they are often of interest. After all, given the frequency of use of rectangles as floor plan elements, if there is a south facing side to a building, there is a fair chance that there will also be a north facing side. <g>
