Fabio Savian has sent to the Italian Mailing List (
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ) the drawings of the sides of the cube, to
build a model in cardboard.
Since the sundial has provoked interest in some of you, I send them to the
Mailing List.
The sketches are 4, in DXF format, and allow to build the cube for the
Latitude of 45° (for which it has been designed)
For different places the base must be tilted of the difference ( latitude -
45° )
The circumference, on which the numbers of the hours are written, has to
have a radius = 800 if the side of the cube = 1000; the centre of the
circumference is the centre of the inferior face of the cube. The numbers
are spaced out of 15°.
I attach the first two drawings here; the others in a message that follows
this
Gianni Ferrari
P.S. I Remember that the drawings in DXF format can be used in Autocad,
DeltaCad, etc. and can also be inserted as image in a page of Word.
