Hi everyone,

Somewhere I read about a Do-It-Yourself sun-compass made of cardboard  (described perhaps
in a Bulletin of the BSS talking about Foster-Lambert dials?) and I would like to have a look at one
of these... Could anyone point me at somewhere having the drawings or at least the instructions
to build one, the simpler the better?

By the way, I've made my own cardboard Parent dial (you know, these azimuthal dials that have a
gnomon leaning 90+Lat degs from the South line and a plate with a rectangular grid) and it works
quite OK... Do you know why such a simple construction is so difficult to see (well, at least here in Spain)?
Do they have any problem besides they can't be read around the equinoctial days? Do bigger dimensions
greatly amplify its inaccuracies?

Best regards,
