I come across
this attitude all the time.
I was giving a
talk on sundials to a Rotary club recently, and this seemed to be the general
feeling among the audience.
So I asked
them if anyone played golf. The vast majority
did.
I told them it
was a waste of time and effort.
They should just pick up the ball and put it in
the hole.
Much more
accurate and much cheaper.
