Hi Willy,

Chris Daniel "delineavit" the dial, i.e. designed and delineated it.  Chris is, 
of course, the chairman of the BSS and also worked for the National Maritime 
Museum before becoming a freelance dial designer.

I'm not sure who the sculptor was, though I believe he was an FRS.  I have it 
in a book somewhere (but I'm not at home at the moment) and could probably find 
it if it's important to you.  Or you could try Chris directly (from memory, on 
[EMAIL PROTECTED])
