Hi dialists!
Following the principle that states
that ''one way or another you always end up
in the classics'' I have borrowed from the public
library ''De Architectura'' by Vitruvius
in order to read the Ninth Book that deals about
sundials. The problem is that I
only could get a version translated into Old
French, and my pace of reading is
veeeeeeery slow. Now, there came I across the
description of something
that appears to be an Oughtred (or spider) sundial
which he calls ''Anaphoric Dial''.
Am I wrong or are they basically the same
thing?
Cheers,
