Hello to all, some time ago Roger explained his ideas of Seasonal Markers in analemmatic sundials. After some further discussions the new version 2.0 of the spreadsheet for analemmatic sundials can be downloaded from my homepage. Some of the new features: - Rogers ideas of the Epicycle for more precise information about sun set and rise are in Chart "Epicycle" - start and end time for time marks can be input, also the number of time marks per hour - inclined planes are allowed (without deviations from N - S ) - chart "error" shows the size of the error in degrees if only one particular point on either side of the N-S-axis is used as SeasonalMarker for reading time and azimuth of rise / set. (And it was for me rather unexpected, that this error does not change with different inclinations of the gnomon or the dial plane. But in inclined dials with not vertical gnomon only reading of azimuth of rise/set ist possible.) - some reorganisations of the spreadsheet were made to get more clear DATA-printouts.
