The factors that make the sundial 'fast' or 'slow' are not dependent on latitude. 
 
 
http://www.sunlitdesign.com/products/thesunapi/documentation/sdxEOT.htm for a function to calculate the Equation of Time  If you note the parameters to this function you will see that latitude is not necessary for calculating it.

Hello all,
As a newcomer to dialling, I would like to know whether the "fast" or "slow" as shown on the graph is the same for the southern hemisphere as for the northern hemisphere.
