Hi Mac

Thanks for pointing out the new NASS link to the Tucson Conference. I
assume Bob Terwilliger did the excellent layout work. Note his skillful use
of "sublinks" that take you to high resolution graphics and other links.
Working with a webmaster has made me appreciate all the hard work and
experience needed to be a good website designer. What I really like about
the Roger's Bailey's conference report is the on-screen quality of the
photographs! Fred, Roger and I went through over a hundred photographs that
everybody sent in so we were able to select photos of very good quality and
resolution.

As much as I love my paper edition of The Compendium, its photographs and
other graphics just don't compare to the digital on-screen versions in the
NASS website (or the CD). When you are looking at highly detailed little
engravings on a complicated dial, resolution is everything. And when you're
looking at art, color is important. I know to publish The Compendium in
color on photo paper would break the bank, that's why it is important that
we consult the graphic available through the NASS website and CD. But I
still want my paper one!

Kudos and thanks to Roger, Bob, Fred, and Carl for the work you did to make
this link.
