Fellow Shadow Watchers,
Following my agonised cry for help re. waterjet
cutting, DXF and CAD of yesterday I am delighted to report that the
critical aspects of the problem are solved. Problem samples were
submitted to the 'IT Guru' of the firm which makes the cutting machine
who found that the default tolerance setting was too low for the
complexity of the curves I require. The offsetting of central slots
remains a problem but one which is easily 'tweaked' by hand.

This information may well be of use to anyone else contemplating the use
of this amazing technology.

I will sleep well tonight....... instead of lying awake wondering how on
earth I am to shape heavy section steel by hand and to a tight deadline
for a civic presentation piece.

Many thanks to all those who offered comment and advice.
