I agree completely with Mac and I have to add that recently I bought his
'Prontuario di Gnomonica' from him. For a ridiculous
prize he sent me a 130 A5-pages book summarizing the main formulae of
Positional Astronomy and Flat Sundials. Maybe some of
you would find it too basical or difficult to follow (it's written in
Italian) but the texts are very clear and concise and the pictures and
photos (more than 300!!) are just a-m-a-z-i-n-g!. As far as I know he is
ellaborating a new edition which should cover new types
of dials. I encourage him to continue with it and to the rest of you to
get a copy of it (he gets no profit from it, so you'll probably
have to be patient).
