Season Greetings everyone. I recently finished a project I started last spring that I wanted to share with the list. I wanted to build a focusing sundial that could project a very narrow shadow with sharp borders to tell the time. I have posted pictures at
www.precisionsundials.com/sundial_list.htm that show a sharply focused cursor less than 15 seconds of time wide. Contrast this to the sun, which is 2 minutes of time wide. I hope to bring this dial, or a single focusing dial, to the NASS convention in 2004. I'll be off the list from 12/25 thru 1/02/04. Regards, -Bill -
