Why pick on England, the USA also changed in 1752?

And don't forget Japan (1873), China (1913), Bulgaria (1916), Russia and
Turkey (1919), and Greece (1924).
In fact, the Duke of Edinburgh - (our Queen's husband), was born in Greece
in 1920 - before they changed from the Julian calendar.  I've often wondered
whether he claimed his old age pension on the correct date after he moved
over here.
