method may give greater accuracy over the smaller area in which the

are using the window frame as your "declination gnomon" you are
working at a
small scale over short distances, whereas if you use the corner of the
house, the scale is huge because the declination gnomon (the corner of

building) is monumental in comparison. The corner of the building
will be
far more precise wont' it? And your method involves holding two tools
(a
piece of paper and pencil) and then you have to mark the paper while
looking
at a clock. And probably a couple of little geometry problems as well.
Is
that right? Seems more complicated and less precise to me.
