Hello fellow dialists,
It is with profound sadness that I report the death of William S. Maddux on 3 December 2005 in Princeton, New Jersey. I have no details.
Most of you will recall his numerous articles in The Compendium and messages on The Sundial Mailing List.
A gentle and loving person, Bill was always willing to find time to help fellow sundial enthusiasts. Wise and witty, he was a mentor to many of us.
His passing is a significant loss to the sundial community. Goodbye, my dear friend. Mac Oglesby -
