Hello eveyone,
There is a photo of midnight almost at the summer solstice (16 June) at the Longyearbyen Sundial, 78 d 13 m north with the sun around its highest point in the north. The photo should have been slightly to the side so the gnomon could be seen and thus prove it's north! This picture will download quickly - promise! At the moment the site is just one page telling you the site is being renovated - due to be finished this week. The site will be much improved with lots of interesting links and will be faster thanks to Anne Bruvold's kind offer to host the site until Longyearbyen.net gets organised with the new optic fibre cable installed up here.
