Fellow shadow watchers,
After many hours of sleep I've recovered enough
from a fortnight of travel to Spitsbergen and on to Helsinki to send a
few emails.
The sun appeared a day early on 7th March due to leap year and actually
shone full on the dial for a few minutes and long enough to assure an
accurate alignment. That was its only miraculous appearance in the
entire week and the reverse of my usual experiences in dial alignment.
The rough magnetic alignment of the pedestal performed the day before the
inauguration was less than one degree astray.
