I find that many newer Windows printers use USB ports for their connection. I don't think that these ports are supported under DOS. There is inexpensive software which I have purchased called DOSPRN (www.dosprn.com that seems to handle the problem.
I have had success with all my DOS applications using this software. There may be other donwloads available if one does a Google search.
