The UK Times "Atlas of the World" (Comprehensive edition) ISBN 0 7230
0492 7 has 218 A3 size closely printed pages of the towns and cities of
the world. Each has its latitude and longitude listed.

An example chosen at random from pages 217/218 where all the hundreds of
cities, towns and villages? beginning 'Z' are listed is:

"Zhangsanying Hebei - China - 41.30N 117.36E" I quickly found that the
decimal point actually separates degrees and minutes and not decimal
degrees.

Of course I can't personally vouch for the accuracy but Lord Shackleton -
former President of The Royal Geographical Society - is quoted on the
dust jacket as stating it to be "The finest reference atlas ever
produced".

At 460mm x 320mm x 50mm it certainly isn't a pocket edition but oh those
lovely large scale maps or just about everywhere.
