Frank et al,
There's a bronze and stone Millennium dial in the village of
Bellerby. The metal bit is quite plain at their request and is by some
odd guy called Moany Toss or something. The unusual stone pillar by
local artist-in-stone John McLaren is very fine. John transferred the
delineation from this dial and created a beautiful all-stone item with a
most unusual bronze gnomon in the shape of a mining pick head for a
nearby town which I can't now recall. I've emailed him for details but
so far he hasn't replied. No doubt the good folk of Bellerby would
direct an enquirer to it. More later.

The stainless steel Millennium dial on a massive sandstone block on the
fringes of Lower Worsall village near Yarm is a mite too far north to
qualify for Yorkshire perhaps.
