In odd moments I've been doing something out of
the ordinary, viz making a sundial for ME! It will be a declined
vertical in a cast bronze frame of ornamental design in the shape of a
squared shield with a 'broken arch' and a moulded cross section surround.
Overall size is 445mm x 500mm and weight 7.8kg. The dial plate fits
into a cast recess in the back.
Having gone to some considerable trouble over making the wooden pattern
for the casting, which has just now come back from the foundry, it seems
a shame to use it only once. If any other diallists might interested in
a repeat casting it could be arranged.
