Greetings fellow dialists,
Roger Baley has quoted me this site for those interested in the appearance
of the Weir azimuth diagram. The Admiralty sheet is much more detailed, of
course, and doesn't have a map background as it is universal.

Thanks to all for your help and most recently to Fer for telling me that in
order to operate a sun compass you need to know the time. This makes the
whole thing clear.
At five pounds 50 from Admiralty Chart Agents the Weir diagram is a pretty
thing to own, even if you do no more than just look at it. And it stretched
this dialist's mind a bit.
