RELLOTGES DE SOL DE CATALUNYA (Sundials of Catalonia) by Conxita Bou, Xavier Elias, Eduard Farré, Jordi Nogué, Jaume Ventura and Josep Maria Vallhonrat, all members of the Societat Catalana de Gnomònica (Catalan Society of Gnomonics), in Barcelona, and well-known Catalan gnomonics. The book has 287 pages, format 25 x 30 cm. ISBN = 84-95550-40-7. It has about 400 photography, all in color, on 175 sundials (overall and details views), all from Catalonia. The text deals with history (origin, the Arabs, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, today), sundials variety, mottoes, calendar, portable sundials, materials and techniques of construction, glossary and bibliography.
