Hello British Dialists.
Stained glass artist, Jon Callan visited the sight
of the stolen Didsbury Old Parsonage Dial near Manchester to
investigate several things. Our hope is to obtain permission to make
a replacement sundial for the bay window where the original was. Here
is a copy of the photos he took and his letter to me describing the current
situation and local contacts. As I mentioned in a previous letter, Jon has
offered his services to help fabricate the replacement
sundial.

This project will die if we can't find a British
dialist willing to contact and persuade the authorities of the Old
Parsonage. So if any of you are interested in helping out, it might be
possible. If we could get Chris Daniel or the BSS involved, it might
help the cause. This idea was first proposed by Chris years
ago. I just picked up where he left off.
