Hi Richard
Welcome in the West of France
For Brittany, you can see the website of Jean-Paul Cornec:
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/jean-paul.cornec/index.html
On my own website, I have made a dedicated page on some Brittany dials:
http://perso.wanadoo.fr/cadrans.solaires/cadrans/originaux-bretagne.html
and for Normandy (you can see in my "France" page):
- don't miss the "Ludiver park" in La Hague with 16 dials designed by
Jean-Michel Ansel
- don't miss "Le mont Saint-Michel" which has been the largest dial of
the
world !!!
For both of us, some of the comments are only in French, but if you want
more information you can ask
Joël
http://www.cadrans-solaires.fr/
Thanks for the references, which should be very useful. Is Mont Saint
Michel actually outlined as a sundial ? I have seen the giant sundial
in Jaipur, when I went to India for the 1995 total eclipse of the Sun.
Richard.
