I know of no sundials in Canada as old as the Mexican dials referenced below. The oldest sundial like artefact here is Champlain's astrolabe, dated 1603, lost in 1613 and found in 1867. See http://www.civilization.ca/tresors/treasure/222eng.html
 
Samuel de Champlain was the first to establish colonies in Canada, starting at Port Royal in Nova Scotia where he established "L'Ordre de Bon Temps" in 1606. I am pleased to be a member of this social club, the oldest in North America, dedicated to "Fellowship and Good Cheer".
