1/. It keeps me fit. I start on the Sunday morning and finish about Tuesday - Wednesday - climbing clock towers changing and servicing tower clock. With an average of a hundred steps up each tower, and of course a hundred steps back down, there is no need for the gym!

2/. My Bank Manager is pleased, helps to keep me in his good books.

3/. I rise early most mornings about 6 am, so I find the hour change does not upset my work pattern unduly.

4/. It stops the clocks I maintain from being forgotten and neglected.

5/  And so the list goes on.
