Hello Dialists:
I was surprised by all the people that wanted the
Sundial Cupola Construction Plans. I was also surprised that three people
said that they are going to make one!
To make the construction plans and photos more
accessible, Dave Bell kindly whipped up this new webpage. There you can
download the plans in any file format you like.
I have updated the plans with more details so the
version on the website is the most up-to-date version. If I have already
emailed you the plans, just delete them and download the new ones.

We've added a website translation link called
Bebelfish at the bottom for those who don't speak English. (we've also
added the translation link to all the SGS website pages).
If any of you make a Sundial Cupola I hope you tell
us about it. At the moment, none exist in the United States. If you
are not a woodworker, there are several cupola companies who do custom work and
will make one for you to which you can attach your sundials. Also, if you
can not afford a porcelain sundial face, you can save a lot of money by using
self-adhesive vinyl (like they use on signs) on stainless steel or aluminum
sheets. The vinyl only lasts about 10 years however.
If I can help you with anything, just let me
know.
John
