In response to recent correspondence on 'Analemmatic' dials (initial enquiry from J. Hardy) - perhaps subscribers to the "Sundial mailing list" would like to know that we operate an international mail-order business, supplying sets of personalised Plans & Layout Instructions for ground-level Analemmatics. These are designed to use a PERSON'S OWN SHADOW to indicate correct clock time, even coping automatically with the twice-yearly Standard to/from Daylight-saving time changes.
Our sets of Plans give all the required measurements (to the nearest centimetre) - all we require is the Address of intended location and the overall diameter required; we would normally recommend 6 metres. There are many examples at famous 'Stately Homes' in the UK (we even had one opened by the "Duchess of Kent"!) - but they are mainly used by Primary Schools, who simply paint the layout on their Schoolyard.
